Question:

We are coming to the Grand Canyon and wanting to go to the Grand Canyon Sky Walk. Where is the best place to stay overnight?

answer:

Hualupai Lodge at Diamond Creek is the closest to Grand Canyon Sky Bridge but reservation is required this year.

The next most convenient place depends on where you are coming from. Are you flying to Phoenix or Las Vegas, are you driving from somewhere?

Two decent towns nearby are Kingman (about 70 miles / 2 hours from Las Vegas / California, Skybridge), Flagstaff (convenient from Phoenix / Colorado / New Mexico, about 216 miles from Skybridge).

In order to go from Sedona to Skybridge, you need to go north to Flagstaff / I-40. After that, go west beyond Williams, walk near Seligman and proceed to the old route 66. Go Route 66 to Peach Springs. From Peach Springs stop another road and go northeast to the Grand Canyon West. It takes about 3 hours from Sedona to Peach Spring.

Since Grand Canyon West is not really far from Las Vegas, it fly to Vegas, Drive to GC West, Drive to Sedona, Flight to Grand Canyon via I-40 or 89 A, then Flight Flagstaff.

Whatever way you slice it, it's a pretty long drive trip!

Make sure you know where you are going

There seems to be many misunderstandings about Sky Bridge. Skybridge stops on Google Maps!

Grand Canyon West with Sky Bridge, and Grand Canyon West Rim most of the 5 million annual visitors to the Grand Canyon go Absent same place.

actually, close up ! The Grand Canyon West with Sky Bridge is outside of the National Park when booking Hualu Pai. Grand Canyon Village / West Rim is over a 4-hour drive from Sky Bridge. If the time to visit is limited, you need to choose from the two.
