Summer reading is always on top of my list for vacation plans.
Certainly it is wonderful to visit the heritage ruins and go to the lake and the shores of the sea. There are special things to settle in a comfortable place with cold drinks and fun books.
The writer of the novel takes us to the place we forgot and introduces memorable characters facing the conflict now. Authors, Susanna Kearsley and Rosamunde Pilcher have special talents for this.
Kearsley takes a historical romance route in the winter sea and the rose garden. From the first page of her book she will invite her readers to travel with a modern person who is connected to the past somehow. There is no spoiler here, but if you like a story with elements of time, you will not be disappointed. In addition, I have grasped the history setting of myriad details included in Kearsley nominated for the 2009 RITA Awards, and also the 2010 Readers & # 39; Selection History Fiction Award
Both Kearsley books will take you to the current and past British settings. The winter sea delves into the political turmoil leading to the present of Kearsley's romantic fiction and the history of the 18th century Scotland. In the rose garden, the main character Eva of the United States is drawn on Cornwall. The magic of Cornwall is included in this novel, but certainly there is a big reaction on rainy days!
My third recommendation is the 80s novel that was awarded the Rosamunde Pilcher 's The Shell Seekers award. This bestselling novel is a country cottage in Penelope · Killing and her family in the small British village of Edinburgh and Penelope, 39; Greek island, Scotland, 39, during the summer days of the beach, spent the age of war over the 20th century .
Portrait of a young man Penelope as the only child raised with a talented father and a beautiful mother is intertwined with Penelope's own marriage and a growing child's life segment. This novel is translated into a movie version starred by Angela Lansbury. But if you want to save the whole story, please read this book.
By the way, when I read Shell and Seekers, it endured the test of time! Please also check out other novels and short stories by Rosamunde Pilcher.
Fiction works by Susanna Kearsley and Rosamunde Pilcher are definitely the types of books I'd like to add to vacation supplies. They certainly offer a wonderful get-a-way!
