Crab Island (Pulau Ketam) Trip to Malaysia

Together with Murray 's New Year, there was a long holiday (4 days including the weekend). Together with my friend I decided to go on a trip to go to this island.

There was sunny Monday morning. Depart from Titiwangsa monorail station to KL Sentral at 10am. Please change from KL Sentral to Klang by KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu). The train journal took us an hour.

When arriving at the ferry pier, hundreds of people are waiting for a express boat to Kuva, under the hot noon sun. I felt fortunate that I brought my umbrella. The state of the wind at that time makes us feel comfortable. We waited 45 minutes to board the board and it took 45 minutes to travel to Crab Island. Finally arrived at the island at 2:05 pm.

I do not think many people will visit this island, but it is not so. Thousands of visitors clouded a small town. There are numerous seafood restaurants on this island. A restaurant that is tired of hunger and enjoys wonderful sea food. I can not even sit down and take chances. Thirty minutes later we found a table and sat down at Restaurant Seafood Pin Heong. We are waiting for 20 minutes without anyone helping us. The table is still dirty and old customer's empty plate, crab's bone, garbage full. After all, we moved to another restaurant called Jin He restaurant.

We make the order of sweet & sour crab, butter shrimp, bamboo shell and vegetables. 30 minutes wait and 1 hour meal. This is a day trip, so it takes less walking time. After that, we decided to rent a bicycle. The only means of transportation for crabs is bicycles. There were no motorcycles and no cars.

It is a lot of fun to ride a bicycle on a narrow road. We are visiting houses of difficulties, schools, shipbuilding and villas.

An accident happened to me while on the ride. In order to avoid shocks from the junction to another bicycle, I was falling out of the bicycle. For some reason while holding a digital camera on my right hand, press the front brake instead of the back brake. In the worst case, the left-hand brake is for the front wheel brake and the right-hand brake is for the rear wheel brake. I get injured with my left knee and right hand fingers. bite!

It's okay to suffer slight injury ... Oh, no !!! My digital camera has knocked the floor badly while still holding it on my right hand. My lens had scratches. My camera was automatically turned off due to shock. I restart my camera and I am fortunate still working. After that, I explored the village in front of the last boat departing from the island at 6 PM.

At 5:50 pm, we took a large wooden boat run by locals and took an hour from Crab Island's return to Port Klang. After that, from Klang to KL Sentral, I took an express train at 7:10 pm.

If you plan to stay overnight at the club island, hotels, inns, goose houses will be offered to visitors. Pulau Ketam Inn rates from RM 35.00 per room per night from RM 85.00 per night.

My Advisor

Bicycles riding on the island are fun, but please borrow, if you are not confident of riding a bicycle. There are no railroads or dividers in a certain area, so you may fall into a swampy or sea. Adults, your children please be careful when traveling to the club island.
