One of the most debilitating problems in project management is when people suffer from dysfunctional and time consuming demands. This includes fraudulent processes and policies, complex tools, and hyper-hierarchical corporate politics. Governance, support, and equipment are necessary in the long term, but project management becomes problematic if you get absorbed in the project. Mistakes may occur in all projects and project managers need to secure space for them. The worst thing is to make something minor things turn into projects.

At the start of the project, some mistakes do not affect the end result. Obsessing with them only hinders people's work. Below I would like to explain the family story that one of the most serious mistakes of today, the misprinted birth certificate is seriously important to Eskimos in the early nation of Alaska. I still survived.

When Alaska first became a country, my father was born in Inuit village hundreds of miles away. Because it is so far away, some people are not aware that they are part of the United States. As the government documents are new, the villagers did not know how to enter my father's birth certificate. Because they kept the address and zip code blank, they also checked boxes written as "female". The issue number of the certificate was something like "000000004".

In Alaska in January, survival depends on warm hunting, but the birth certificate was the last time everyone devoted time.

In terms of project management, I think that it is not an overstatement to say that most people are ignoring certain parts of work. It always happens. As important work takes precedence, small work sometimes needs to be eliminated. Instead of looking at the incomplete task as a problem, the project manager must look at it to see which tasks in the project are successful. Then, you can understand exactly what actually is achieved in the project. Even if future mistakes become a problem, there are things that you can not do anything until later.

This is not to say that it is free to ignore anything that people feel unapplied. They are not obsessed with irrational insufficiency.

Sometimes the new project sometimes resembles this city in Alaska, is far away, there is no structure or facility certified by the project manager. In order for such a project to be successful, the project manager must know how to survive in a different environment with aside as trivial things. There was no road in the place my father lived. Survival was all about local geography. In order to travel to other places, the villagers had to take kayaks, dogslings and snow shoes. Knowing how to navigate the land was not easy enough to stay on the right side of the road, keep the speed limit, stop the red light. Eskimo there knew the way to survive. When things like wasting time happened, they did not care about it. In project management, resources, financing, and software are not always available at all times, and the team has to ignore certain things in order to complete the project successfully. I will not say that laws and policies should not be broken. It does not mean that important measures for accountability must be done separately. I am providing a metaphor for work that needs to be prioritized over other tasks in project management. If the obsession of the project is succeeded, nothing can be done.
