Hammer is your offensive attack power of Travian. You mainly use it to destroy and catch enemy villages, but you can also use them for raids. A suitable hammer is a combination of various attack units. Infantry, cavalry, weapons, catapult. In order to obtain the most efficient hammer it is important to ensure the right amount of the correct ingredients. But the first thing we need to do is to choose the village where we build it.
Capital vs. Regular village
These are the two options we have. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
The Travian capital city hammer is probably a simpler option. You do not need to be afraid that your hammer will disappear without combat as your capital city will not be captured. The village of the capital and hammer is your primary target of your enemies. When you have a hammer in the capital there is an important village that is unlikely to defend. Because the capital is producing most of the crop, your strategy production will not fall to the negative side greatly when suddenly deciding to move your army. This will save you from a headache moving several tons of food from other villages.
However, stability of large barracks and big cities is impossible. If you are planning a huge army, this will significantly increase your efforts. To train a hammer, unfortunately to build a high-level cultivated land it is necessary to have some slots that you need in your capital for warehouses and granaries.
A more general choice among Travian top players is to have a specific village to build a hammer. Hammer village and aggressive village. Unlike the capital, this village is caught and giving your troops food will be a pain in the back later. But building a hammer in a designated aggressive village makes it more flexible. You can build great barracks and great stability you can have big troops. The building slots are more substantial. Since moving lambs and catapults will take time, your aggressive village should be as close to your capital as possible. This will increase the preparation of your troops.
Infantry and cavalry
These are obviously your military muscles. As infantry is cheap and quickly trained, it must be the majority of your troops. However, we need to train cavalry for balance. There is no precise relationship with the number of infantry units required for one cavalry unit. Good guidelines are 1: 1 in terms of crop use, in the example one is four Imperian in one Equites Caesaris. These trains, trains, and trains do not have upper limits, but please beware that they also need to be fed.
To conserve resources with weapon upgrades, you need to train one infantry and one cavalry.
Rams
The importance of ram is often underestimated in Trovian. Regardless of whether there is a wall in your target village, there is a big difference in the success of your attack. You can check this with the battle simulator found in the game. 500 + ram is almost always enough to destroy the level 20 wall, almost always depending on the situation. Less than that, please try your own danger. Of course, even if there are few infantry and cavalry units, it is not worth having 500 lambs. But historically it is the goal of 500.
catapult
Catapult is used to destroy buildings. You can damage as much as you have. Catapult is very expensive, so please do not build too much. Again, 500 units is a suitable number to target and is enough to give meaningful damage. 500 units are never the upper limit, we produce as much as we need.
To convey some ideas to you, there are about 20 (20 pounds) catapults to completely destroy a 10 - story building, and a 20 - story building needs about 50 catapults. We need twenty rally points in order to set up a strongly recommended dual goal setting because we halve the amount of attack waves you need.
