County cities Omagh, Tyrone, Northern Ireland currently have a population of around 22,000 people. It is also the main town of County Tyrone Province (designated by the county town position), Drumragh and Camowen River join to form the River Strule. Also, it is the site of Omag District Association headquarters. It became the main town of Tyrone - Take the title from Dungannon - around 1768 or around it.

Omagh itself can look back on the history to the activities of a religious community centered on the monastery formed in 792. This is one of the oldest towns throughout Ireland. The town also attracted international attention in 1998 when activities by the Separatist Republican Army led to the death of several townspeople.
