The last time I was in Barolo is to drive to Strata Romantica delle Langhee del Roero (romantic road) which I recommend to Trevirolo Guests and General Lange. It is an itinerary to discover the most beautiful and interesting panoramic points in the area.

Each of the 11 stop points was selected from a special position and perspective on the natural landscape of the Langhe and Roero regions. In addition, at each of these stops there is a useful panel related to the land story. Many people come to Lange because of world class wine, truffles and local dishes, but why breathtaking landscapes remain unchanged as they are proposed for UNESCO World Heritage List I will understand.

Strada Romantica departs from Vezza D & amp; Alba, which is approximately 20 minutes by car from TorreBarolo, or Camerana, further from Barolo. Although the distance does not seem to be so far, since there are many switchback roads, you can snake a variety of landscapes from Langhe's lush vineyards to hazelnut orchids and Alta Langa hill forests.

11 panoramic stops,

1. Vezza d & amp; Alba: steep hills, deep canyons, cliffs: famous Rocche in the Roero area on the left side of the Tanaro River. Vezza d & # 39; Alba was built more than 1000 years ago. The ruins of the castle belonging to the Roero family until the 17th century were traces of its feudal age. Vezza has a wonderful Baroque church in San Bernardino and two interesting churches, a church of the Church of San Martino, a Madonna de Boschi Shrine between the villages of Valle Sanche and Valle Maggiore.

2. Mariano Alfieri: "Kingdom" of the Alfa Eli family, dominated the city center from 1660 to 1680, between 1680 and 1680, the most important Italian poet's residence, young Vittorio Alfieri. The castle where you can find the noble chapel of Santo Crocefisso is the property of the city hall.

3. Nieve: Arch-Confraternity, Cotto & House of San Michele's Baroque style with a clock tower, the last trace of the old castle, a precious wooden entrance with a beautiful 18th century ceiling and a fireplace. Outside the village, along the Tinella torrent on the way to mango, the countryside has a wonderful Romanesque style bell tower that belongs to the charming Santa Maria del Piano church.

4. Treiso: There are numerous rustic chapels and commemorative pillows around the town. We are consolidating an ancient baroque parish church. There are war memorials in memory of heroes of resistance. In autumn we harvest the Nebbiolo grapes at the hills of Treiso, Neive and Barbaresco, from where Barbaresco wines are made.

5. Trezzo Tinella: It is on the boundary between Langhe and Monferrato, Trezzo Tinella, a small village in the forest. The interesting points of the village are the parish church of Sant Antonio Abate, the typical Piedmont neoclassic building (with bar vault), the chapel of Sant & Anna ai Fiori.

6. Benevello: It is the first point of Altaranga. In the historical center of Benevello, there is a nucleus in the square where the castle is located, probably built around 1100 for monitoring around the road from Langhe to Alba.

7. Sinio: This village is dominated by a castle built in the ruins of the former way that was destroyed by the Sforza family in 1431. Before that it was rebuilt with the wish of the Del Carretto family where Chapel of San was built. The Madonna Annunziata church of the 17th century is the host of Sinio's town theater.

8. Cissone: This village dominates a small valley hollowed out by Riavolo torrent. There are many ways in the surrounding forest where you can enjoy a relaxing walk. The main village square is in the Disciplinati parish church (with the original Baroque altar), the city hall, the parish church, the Santa Lucia church is dominated.

9. Murazzano: This village is built in a strategic position and Saracens often loot this area, so we have the most well-protected tower among the many towers built on the Ranga mountain range. You can not miss the Temple of Madonna di Hull where there is the Bugignano gate which shows the border between the Old Town and San Lorenzo Church. I also recommend visiting a beautiful Toegni Palace built in an eclectic style and showing two magnificent art nouveau door windows.

10. Mombarcaro: Here you can see the scenery from Maritime Alps to the persistent snow of Monte Rosa. I visited the historical and ethnological museum, the San Rocco Church as "a deadly sin cover cover", the beautiful frescoes of Seva's Antonio Othello, the sanctuary of Madonna del Grazi (the village of Saint Louisi) We recommend you to visit.

11. Cameraana: This village is composed of various villages extending from the Borida Valley to the Belvo River Valley along the Bolmida River. SS Baroque church of Annunziata has precious high altar and it is made of fine multicolored marble mosaic. The nature of the region will surprise you: Riserva Naturale (wildlife reserve) Sorgenti del Belbo, located between the villages of Montezemolo, Camerana and Saliceto, is a special, unique and uncontaminated part of Langhe. This area is perfect for trekking, horse riding and winter cross country skiing.
