This is the real story told by Somonie Sam in 1979.
Immediately after Heng Samrin and Vietnamese took over Battambang to Pailin along the way 13, I was still in my village Svay Prokeap, Chhoeuteal, Battambang.
It takes about an hour to arrive at Phnom Sampf, but the Vietnamese army is along the road 13.
After returning from Phnom Tipudy and Tapdey, we are enjoying LDP from the Poppott regime. After harvesting rice from the rice field in the west of the village where you can see Phnom Sampf,
However, we do not know that Phnom Sampf was released, so we expect that the front line of liberation Lanak Se Romdus will soon arrive there.
Everyday we are seeing soldiers in the pole pot across the village, but we have not heard anything.
One day, a gun was fired into a paddy field on the west side of a village with a big lake between Svay Prokeap and Chhark Po. About an hour later, we saw some of the Paul Pot soldiers came in green uniforms rather than black.
My mum's grandpa was also sitting at my house and removing rice husk (kernel shell) at the motel. They asked us what they are doing. My uncle is still there and the newly released soldiers surprised that someone is becoming a soldier in the pole pot.
After my uncle left for a while, when one of his children came and reached the eastern end of the village the soldier asked us to cross the river still dominating the people in the pole pot territory .
When we arrived at the village beyond the river, we were very pointing. I asked why they would not go to Phonm Sampov where there are free markets and liberated zones.
That night, I dreamed that my family crossed the deep creek with a big family board bridge. When my family went to the other side, the bridge collapsed and split into two parts.
The next morning after all the elderly people finished talking from that night, they went back to the west, crossed the river, passed Chhark PO village, and walked from my village across the lake.
Some people came back to the Svay Prorkeap and stopped at the eastern end of the lake in order to get the group left behind. This includes my uncle's family.
My family did not continue with other families until the end of the village where the destination to Phonm Sompov is. When we arrived at the end of the village, about 30 to 50 corpses, including children, were scattered on the scene, which were killed by the same soldiers who sent us across the river.
The rest of the village family who came with my family scared and returned Svay Prokeap route back to the Popput regime again across the river. They will stay with them along the Sankar River, so they will stay with a pot pot soldier for a couple of months.
My family go safely to Phnom Sampov.
My uncle 's family was killed by the same soldiers when we were watching the river.
I found a dead body at the end of both villages, there is a newly built temple called Wat Svei Princyup. The deceased mother started the foundation of the building of Vihara. It has not ended yet, but my dream is a place to bridge the dead and the living. I will do my best to complete this building.
